Willie Earl Jones, known to friends as “Buddy” or “The Hotdog man of Charlotte, NC”, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Oconee Memorial Hospital in Seneca, South Carolina. Born on March 10, 1944, he was the son of the late Johnny and Minnie Hannon Jones.
Mr. Jones is survived by his children; Tammy R. Jones of Knoxville, Tennessee, Dayanna E. Williams of Port Charlotte, Florida, sister; Jenny Booth, grandchildren; Matthew E. Williams, Curtis A. Russell, Logan D. Kitts, nieces & nephews; Chip and Gigi Houser, and four great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Willie is predeceased by his first wife of 18 years, Mary Sue Jones of Knoxville, Tennessee, brother; Larry Jones, and sister; Wilma Jones.
Mountain View Funeral Home — Seneca Chapel is assisting the family of Mr. Jones.
