Shirley Bazemore Saturday, 71, passed peacefully away from this life Wednesday, November 15, 2023, in her home in Westminster, South Carolina. Born in Savannah, Georgia she is the daughter of Patricia Ann Bazemore and the late Franklin Delano Bazemore.
Shirley had an extensive career in insurance management which included, Big Insurance Group, Bill Williams Insurance Agency. She also worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation and John Deere.
Shirley enjoyed working on cars and lawn equipment, Fishing, Flowers, her pets, sightseeing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Patricia and Jack Burnsed of Pooler, Georgia, Son Patrick Wayne Saturday of Lincolnton, Georgia, Suzan Saturday Knight (Robert) of Westminster, South Carolina, and a brother Garry Bazemore (Sherry). Shirley also leaves three grandchildren Marisa Them (Teddy), Joshua Knight, Nicholas Knight, and a great-grandson Theodore Them to share in her memory. Shirley is predeceased by her father Franklin Delano Bazemore, a brother Ricci Bazemore, and a grandmother, Mildred Clements.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, those memorials be made to Hospice of the Foothills, Seneca, South Carolina.
Mountain View Funerals and Cremation Seneca Chapel is assisting the Saturday family with arrangements.
