Sheryl B. Meredith, 74, loving wife of 55 years to Ralph “Gene” Meredith went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 5, 2022, at Regency Hospital in Greenville.

A native of Oconee County, South Carolina, Sheryl was born May 24, 1948, the daughter of Ann Dyar Butts and the late Clem Butts. Sheryl was a member of Lydia Baptist Church in Newry, SC. She loved teaching Sunday School and had a passion for singing in the choir. She was active with the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts in Ft. Stewart, Georgia, Ft. Rucker, Alabama, and Ft. Belvoir, Virginia.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph “Gene” Meredith of the home; her mother, Ann Dyar Butts; two sons, Don Meredith of Pickens, and Dale Meredith of Seneca; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Meredith was predeceased by her father, Clem Butts.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022, in the chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home - Seneca from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. Casual dress attire is requested by the family for those attending the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice in Mrs. Sheryl Meredith’s name.
