Rodney Toohey Jr., age 46, loving husband of 19 years to Suzanne Toohey, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Rodney was born on August 19, 1976, in Wheeling, W.V., to Rodney Toohey Sr. and Darla Jo Rice. He was a man of deep faith and was a member of Crosspoint Church in Clemson. Rodney loved the outdoors, fishing, and his family. He served in the Crosspoint Emergency Relief Ministry, and frequently shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with the homeless community in Seneca, SC.
In addition to his parents, Rodney is survived by his wife, Suzanne Toohey of the home, his children, Jackson Perkins of Charlotte, NC, Hannah Elizabeth Toohey of Guyton, GA, and Mary Taylor Perkins of Charlotte, NC; as well as his siblings, Tonda Miller, and Amber King.
Rodney was predeceased by his grandparents on both sides and his brother, Jerry.
Receiving of Family and Friends will take place on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Crosspoint Church located at 1019 Tiger Blvd. Clemson, SC, 29631 from 10:00 – 11:30 am. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 am. A private burial will take place at Ramsey Creek Preserve.
