Richard Avery, 78, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital in Seneca.
A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Richard was born August 30, 1943, the son of the late Ray Carpenter Avery and Leo Kemp Maliece. Mr. Avery enjoyed photography, fishing, and riding his tractor. Most of all, he loved his family and they were his passion.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Bishop of the home; his children, Paul Avery of Anderson and Kim Collins of Seneca; grandchildren, Christopher Avery, Emma, Eli, Cole and Grace Collins; siblings, Carol Bayne and Brenda Gaillaird.
Mr. Avery was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
The family are at their respective homes.
