Pamela Ann Pruitt, born on October 18, 1947, in Seneca, South Carolina, peacefully passed away on April 16, 2025, in her beloved hometown. Pamela lived a life dedicated to caring for others, exemplified through her long and fulfilling career as a nurse. After many years in the healthcare field, she found joy in serving her community further by working at Wal-Mart in Seneca.
Pamela's dedication to her profession was mirrored by her commitment to her family. She is survived by her son, David Patrick Serra; her daughter, Tina Serra Winkler (Worn); and her grandchildren, Alexandria Bella Winkler, Sean Melton (Amanda), David "Trip" Serra III, and Francis E.L. Serra. Also left to cherish her memory are her brother, Francis Stevenson "Steve" Pruitt (Teresa), and her nephews, Matthew Pruitt (Dani) and Austin Pruitt (Nora).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Stevenson Pruitt and Ada Nell Crawford Pruitt, who provided her with the values of compassion and strength that she carried throughout her life.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Pruitt's devoted caregivers: Nancy Collins, Teresa Todd, and Wendy Williams, for the exceptional care and support they provided.
Flowers are accepted and donations may be made to Cottingham Hospice House or the South Carolina Governor's School of Arts and Humanities.
A visitation will be held on May 10, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Cremation Society of South Carolina - Brown Funerals, located at 101 E North 2nd St, Seneca, SC 29678. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location, beginning at 1:00 PM and concluding at 2:00 PM. After the service the congregation will be dismissed and a procession will proceed to Oconee Memorial Park for the burial.
Pamela Ann Pruitt will be remembered not only for her professional contributions but also for her unwavering kindness, love for her family, and the enduring impact she had on those around her. Her legacy of compassion will surely live on in the hearts of her loved ones and the many lives she touched throughout her remarkable journey.
