Otis Lee Lewis, age 83, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Tennille Georgia on October 9, 1939, he was the husband of 56 years to the late Whillie Faye Lewis and son to the late Lillie Mae Robert Lee Lewis. Mr. Lewis is remembered by his friends and family as a devoted husband and man of God who went out of his way to help others.
As a young man Otis graduated from high school in Philadelphia with perfect attendance and for 40 years, he worked for the Duke Energy company and was honored with multiple safety awards. In his spare time, he was an avid fan of boxing and loved working on cars.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his children; Faith Lewis, Terrestrial Gurbuz, Amos (Amanda) Lewis, Perry O. Lewis, Robert Lewis, Jonathan (K.C.) Lewis, and Olethia R. Lewis White, grandchildren; Demetrius P Lewis, Kendra T. White, Jeremiah A Lewis, Isaiah B White, Reggie M. Lewis, Emily Talley White, great granddaughter; Stelle E White, siblings; Mary Wells, Eloise Lewis, and Lillie Campbell of Philadelphia, nieces, nephews, and cousins; Castella Lewis Davis, Jacqueline Lewis Williams, Quincy L. Lewis, Veronica R. Lewis, and many more loving friends and family.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Walhalla, South Carolina at 3:00 p.m.
The family are very grateful for the love and support from all their family and friends.
