Nancy Martinez Bernal

Nancy “Marti” Martinez Bernal, 74, of Seneca, South Carolina passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023, in Seneca, South Carolina. Born in The Bronx, New York, she is the daughter of the late Abimael Martinez Sr and Gloria Badilla Martinez and wife of Richard Arturo Bernal.
Nancy graduated at 17 years old with an LPN and went back to school and received her bachelor’s degree in nursing. Nancy worked as a nurse until her retirement. Nancy also loved crafting and making homemade greeting cards.
Survivors include her husband Richard of 32 years, three brothers; Ivan Martinez, Edward Martinez, and Edwin Martinez, and two sisters; Gloria Martinez McGuffin and Elizabeth Martinez Crespo. Two grandchildren; Alex and Alyssa Martinez. Nancy also leaves numerous nieces and nephews to share in her memory. In addition to her parents, Nancy is predeceased by a brother Abimael Martinez Jr and a son Shane Martinez.
A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, July 29, 2023, at The Hampton Inn Meeting Room in Seneca, South Carolina officiated by Pastor Demetrius Crespo.
Memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers or Wounded Warriors.
