Mirtis Elizabeth Nicholson Palmer “Lib”

Elizabeth Palmer, age 98, loving wife of the late Calvin Lee Palmer Sr., passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at The Springs in Simpsonville.
A native of Seneca, Elizabeth was born on December 5, 1924, to the late Louie Oscar and Mirtis Cleveland Nicholson. She was a graduate of Seneca High School and retired from JP Stevens. Elizabeth was a member of the Bridge Club, social luncheon for over 30 years, as well as a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for many years where Elizabeth was very active and faithful. She had a very outgoing personality, was a loving mother and grandmother, and had many long time friends.
Elizabeth is survived by one living granddaughter, her sister, Joanne Winkler (Dennis), and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, Elizabeth was predeceased by her children, Calvin Palmer Jr. and Ann Palmer Bigham, her grandson, Mills Palmer Bigham, and her siblings; Louise Wainscott, Grace McLees, Earl Nicholson, Gene Nicholson, and Carl Nicholson.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Elizabeth’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association located at 123 W. Antrim Drive, Greenville, SC 29607 or Interim Healthcare located at 100 Verdae Boulevard suite 200, Greenville, SC 29607.
The family is at their respective homes.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Oconee Memorial Park, starting at 1:00 pm.
