Michael Neil “Mike” Tourville
Clemson, South Carolina
Michael Neil Tourville, known to friends as Mike, passed away at the age of 87 on Saturday, November 4th, 2023, at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, South Carolina. Born on November 9th, 1935, in Burlington Vermont, he was the loving husband of 45 years to Mrs. Frances M. Tourville and son of the late Walter Dewey and Katherine Avis Tourville.
Mr. Tourville grew up on a farm in Burlington Vermont and upon finishing high school served our country gallantly in the United States Air Force where he earned an Air Force Achievement Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Armed Forces Service Medal. After 20 years of service to our country he worked in trucking and transportation for 25 years until his retirement. Michael will be remembered for his love of literature and is said to have been a voracious reader in his spare time.
In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by children; Sheree Jean Tourville of Greenville, South Carolina, Michael Neil Tourville Jr. (Sandra) of Lexington park, Maryland, Brian Tourville (Dawn) of Lemoore, California, Marni Cothran (David) of Anderson, South Carolina, Jeffery Madarasz of Pelzer, South Carolina, grandchildren; Mary Easley, Kerry Gormley, Brittany Tourville, Patrick Tourville, Kevin Tourville, Michael Tourville III, Mackenzie McGinnis, siblings; Connie Young, Rodney Tourville, and Stewart Tourville.
In addition to his parents, Michael is predeceased by his sister, Connie Young of Burlington Vermont.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, South Carolina.
A memorial service will be determined at a later date.
