Maybelle C. Pelfrey, age 84, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Hospice of the Foothills in Seneca, South Carolina. Born June 6, 1938 in Walhalla, South Carolina, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Rosa Cooper.
Ms. Pelfrey was an entrepreneur who was known in the local community for her boiled peanuts.
Maybelle is survived by her Sons; Charles "Eddie" Pelfrey of West Union, South Carolina, and Rickey Pelfrey of Mountain Rest, South Carolina, Brothers; Curtis “Bill” Cooper, J.T. Cooper, Sister; Estelle O’Kelley, and 2 Grandchildren; James C. Pelfrey of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Jessica Rose Pelfrey of Mountain Rest, South Carolina.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Pelfrey is predeceased by her husband, Charles D. Pelfrey who passed away in May of 2004.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Foothills – Seneca, South Carolina, or a charity of one’s choice.
