Matthew Flint Patterson

Matthew Flint Patterson, born on February 1, 1979, in Anderson, South Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on April 14, 2025, in Greenville, South Carolina. Matthew led a life devoted to hard work and family, embodying both dedication and generosity in every endeavor he pursued.

Matthew was a skilled landscaper who worked for Patterson Tree Service and Grading, and also worked with Donovan King of King & Son Masonry Inc. His commitment to his work was evident in the pride he took in his craft and the respect he garnered from colleagues and clients alike.

Matthew had a rich passion for life, which was evident in his love for riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. This hobby brought him joy and allowed him to forge connections with like-minded individuals who shared his enthusiasm for the open road.

He was warmly remembered by those closest to him, including his mother, Julie Perry, step-father, Don Perry, and his father, Woody Patterson. Matthew cherished the love of his significant other, Ashley Smith, and was a devoted father to his son, Ethan Patterson, and his stepchildren, Cody Grant (Amber) and Olivia Grant (Dee Wease). Matthew’s role as a grandfather was equally significant, as he embraced his grandchildren, Nevaeh, Nakaydah, Draco Wease, Nash, and Haze Grant, showering them with love and attention.

Matthew is also survived by his siblings, Lori Lee Patterson and Katie Beth Patterson and step-sister, Melissa Baker. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Max & Jeanette Todd and Mary & Roy Patterson, who hold a special place in the hearts of Matthew's family.

The community is invited to honor Matthew's life during a visitation with family on April 24, 2025, starting at 1:30 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:30 PM, both taking place at the Cremation Society of South Carolina - Brown Funerals, located at 101 E North 2nd St, Seneca, SC 29678.

Matthew Flint Patterson will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy will continue to live on through the love he shared with his family and friends.
