Matthew was born on January 1, 1985, in Easley to Jimmy and Bonnie Medlin. He was a graduate of Pickens High School (2003). Matthew was a US Army Veteran, and served in Afghanistan.
Matthew was predeceased by his father, Jimmy, a brother, Joshua, and a niece.
Survivors include his daughter, Nova; his mother, Bonnie; brother, Lucas; his grandmother, Mae; nephews, Dillon, Austin, Bryson, Mason and Jaxon; and many other family members.
A graveside service will be held at a later time. The family members are at their respective homes.
