Mary Jane (Winkler) Hester, age 81, of West Union, SC passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Prisma Health – Cottingham Hospice House. Born on January 10, 1941, in West Union, SC, she was the daughter of the late Marshal Arthur and Ada (Waldt) Winkler.
Survivors include her two children; Teresa Leslie (Freddie) of Liberty, SC, and Lisa Hester of Easley, SC, three brothers; Robert Winkler of West Union, William Winkler of West Union, and Dennis Winkler of Seneca, one sister; Linda Freeman of West Union, SC, five grandchildren; David Shepard, Danielle Murphy (Justin), Destiny Masters, Cayla Griffin, and Tasha Carver (Aaron), as well as eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Hester, her son, James Daniel Hester, her and great grandson, Tommy Griffin, and two sisters, Martha Cox and Patricia Pfister.
Flowers are accepted the family wished to extend their gratitude to the Nurses and Staff of Cottingham Hospice House.
A graveside service will be held at 11: 00 AM on Monday, April 18, 2022, at from Oconee Memorial Park with burial to follow. The family will receive friends from 9:45 -10:45 AM on Monday at Mountain View Funerals and Cremations – Seneca Chapel.
