Leo Francis Desjarlais, age 84, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, South Carolina. Born August 4, 1938, in Milford, Massachusetts, he was the loving husband of 25 years to Deborah Desjarlais and son to the late Lawrence Desjarlais and Marie Anna Desjarlais.

Mr. Desjarlais spent many years in Falmouth, Massachusetts and earned a master’s degree from Michigan State University. He retired as director of the social service agency in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Leo can be remembered as a devoted Catholic and was a member of St. Anthony in Falmouth before moving to Clemson, South Carolina, He was a member of St. Andrew Parish in Clemson where he also served as a Eucharistic Minister.

Leo was a faithful fan of the New England patriots, Red Sox, and Celtics. He adored and shared a birthday with Doug Flutie. He was an avid sailor, Jimmy Buffet fan, Jameson connoisseur and staunch liberal political junkie. He took great pride in his Irish/French heritage and took great pleasure in traveling to Paris with his wife.

In addition to his wife, Leo is survived by children; Noel Slattery of Poway, California, Paul Desjarlais of Broad Brook Connecticut, Casey Cordy of Knoxville, Tennessee, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and nine siblings.
