Landy Moses Bright

Landy Moses Bright, age 91, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at his home in Seneca South Carolina. Born on July 19th, 1932, he was the loving husband of 66 years to Mrs. Betty Joyce Bright and son of the late John Doc and Viola Bright.

Landy was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country honorably during the Korean War. He was employed for 45 years with the J.P. Stevens Company and is remembered for his love of friends, family, and walking outdoors.

In addition to his wife, Landy is survived by children; Douglas Bright (Janice) of Tamassee, brother; RB Bright (Vera), grandchildren; Mathew Bright of Seneca, Ashley Bright of Seneca, step-grandson; Bradley Collins (Beth) of Westminster, great-grandchildren; Ophelia Bright, and step-grandchildren; Caleb & Josiah Collins.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bright is predeceased by brothers; Bruner Bright, Hurschel Bright, Lloyd Bright, and Elijah Bright, sisters; Carrena Richardson, Lidie Parson, and great-granddaughter; Brianna Bright.

In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to the Return Baptist Church building fund.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Mountain View Funerals & Cremations – Seneca Chapel with a funeral service to follow immediately after. Upon conclusion of the service there will be a graveside committal at Oconee Memorial Park.
