A native of Pickens County, Joey was born on September 16, 1959. He loved hunting, fishing, classic cars, and antiques.
Survivors include his children, Nathan Freeman (Hannah), Coty Freeman (Paige), and Nicole Freeman (Aubrey Otabachi); his grandchildren, Landen Freeman, Haedyn Freeman, Cobben Freeman, Brody Freeman, Natalie Freeman, A.J. Galloway, Bristol Freeman, Malek Otabachi, and Layana Otabachi; along with his nephews, Billy Freeman and Eric Freeman.
Joey was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Sam Freeman.
