Jerry Dewayne Winkler, known to friends as June Bug, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at the age of 73. Born on May 22, 1950, he was the loving husband of 54 years to Trudy Goss Winkler and son to the late Thurston Newton Winkler and Edith Roach Winkler.
Jerry graduated from Walhalla high school with the class of 1967 and worked at Koyo Bearing and as a truck driver. He was a dedicated member of the Church of God of Prophecy. In his spare time Jerry was a fan of hot rods and enjoyed building model cars as well as woodworking.
In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by children; Ann Winkler, Robert Dwain Winkler, and Dianna Winkler, siblings; Donnie Winkler, Kathy Roach, and Patsy Wilson, grandchildren; Paige Winkler, Dakota Carnes, Heather Winker, and an expected great-grandchild in February.
