Jeanette "Netty" Burns

Jeanette “Netty” Burns, 57, of Seneca, South Carolina passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024. Born in Chemung, Elmira, New York, she is the daughter of Thomas Leslie Burns and Peggy Jane Detrick Burns.

Jeanette was a graduate of Southside High School where she was able to complete a year earlier than the required time allotment. Jeanette loved laying on the beach, fishing, and all outdoor activities. Jeanette spent her life as a caregiver and an at-home nanny.

Survivors include two children Kimberly Lowell (Wesley Finley) of Seneca, South Carolina, and Matthew Lowell of Seneca, South Carolina. Their father Lawrence Lowell of Seneca, South Carolina. Three siblings, Sue Parrias, Jody McDuffie, and Jamie Little. Also five grandchildren, Mackenzie Lowell, Serenity Lowell-Finley, Trinity Lowell Finley, Kyler Lowell, and Maven Lowell. Jeanette leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins, Filinda Williams, Brandon Williams, Haley McDuffie, Jayden McDuffie, Impala Messick, Brenda Little, and Landon and Hannah Little to share in her memory. A special mention to Jeanette’s Childhood/Adult Friend Debbie Huggs of Elmira, New York.

Jeanette is predeceased by a half-sister Teresa Fields, and a Cousin Vinny Little.

The family has asked that any memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association for research.

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life in a few weeks. An announcement will be made on Facebook regarding times and location.

Mountain View Funerals and Cremations Seneca Chapel is assisting the Burns family with arrangements.
