Jean Batson Ellenburg, Age 84, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, in Seneca, South Carolina. Born on June 12, 1939, she was the loving wife of 54 years to the late Joe Frank Ellenburg Sr. and daughter to the late Sam J. Batson and Willie Sue Batson.
Mrs. Ellenburg grew up in Newry, South Carolina, and worked in the lunchroom at Ravenel Elementary School. She enjoyed camping, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Jean is survived by children; Donna Pope (Grant Larsen), Joe Ellenburg Jr., Jessica Mulkey (Justin), and Jean Alise Ellenburg, grandchildren; Alyssa Jean Harvey, Allison Bozovich, Dakota Joe Pope, and six great-grandchildren, and nephews; Brent & Bart Batson.
In addition to her husband and parents Mrs. Ellenburg is preceded in death by her brother, Sammy Batson.
A graveside service will be held at Oconee Memorial Park at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
