Hilda B. Glover, 74, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca.

A native of Oconee County, South Carolina, Hilda was the daughter of the late John Ennis Brucke and Nettie M. Brucke. Ms. Glover graduated from Mars Hill College with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and later earned her master’s degree from Clemson University. She worked for the State of South Carolina in the Greenville County School District and the Oconee County School District where she was awarded teacher of the year. Ms. Glover was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Seneca, where she served as the pianist and taught Sunday School and Bible School.

Survivors include her son, Benjamin H. (Jaclyn) Glover of Boling Springs; her grandchildren, Noah Glover, Jonah Glover, and Molly Kate Glover; a sister, Martha B. (Rayford) Sammons of Seneca, South Carolina; nieces and nephews, Sherri A. Sammons, and Johnny R. Sammons.

In addition to her parents, Hilda was predeceased by a brother, Johnny Howard Brucke; a sister, Sylvia Rebecca Brucke, both of Seneca, South Carolina.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 8, 2023, in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, 4010 Keowee School Rd, Seneca, SC 29672.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Hilda’s honor may be made to Prisma Health Hospice of the Foothills, 390 Keowee School Rd, Seneca, SC 29672.
