Gregory Lamart Loftis, age 67, of West Union, SC passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Prisma Health – Oconee Memorial Hospital. Born October 24, 1954, in Dalton, GA, he was the son of the late Henry C. Loftis and Reedia (Barnes) Loftis.
He was a U. S. Army Veteran having served his country in the Army and was a member of College Street Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 23 years Cindy (Derrick)Loftis, his children and stepchildren; Zebulon McMillian (Danielle) of Greenville, SC, Carley Nelson Loftis of Arizona, James Sweenor (Sarah) of Seneca, SC, Chris Sweenor (Tonya) of Seneca, SC, Michael Herron (Ashley) of Walhalla, SC, Becky Lee Putnam (Eddie) of Walhalla, SC, and Brenda Olson (Ray) of Walhalla, SC. 17 grandchildren, a brother Ralph Loftis of Apopka, FL, two sisters Sheryl Eddleman of Easley, SC and Clarice Swords of Liberty, SC
.
In addition to his parents Mr. Loftis is preceded in death by brothers Cordele, Bill, Orion, Melvin, Roy, Jack, and Perry Loftis, a half sister Martha JO, and two grandchildren Brayden Curtis Herron, and Kalleigh Alexis Burrell.
The family is at their respective homes.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
