Grace H. Heaton, 86, loving wife of 66 years to Dale Heaton, passed away at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, on February 18, 2023.
Grace attended Church of God of Prophecy, where she had been a member since 1960. She loved gardening and working with flowers.
She is survived by her husband Dale, her son; Lane Heaton (Linda) of Walhalla, grandchildren; Kayla White (Jared) of Seneca, Seth Heaton of Seneca, Holly Heaton of Walhalla, sister; Vergie Nichols (Bill), brother; Weldon Hammond (Linda), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Grace was predeceased by her parents; Waverly Hammond and Nola Smith Hammond, sisters; Ivera Whitfield, Estelle Chainey, brothers; Preston Hammond, Bill Hammond, Lonnie Hammond, and Ernie Hammond.
Funeral services for Grace will be held at 11:00am on Monday, February 20, 2023 in the chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home in Seneca. Visitation will be held an hour prior starting at 10:00am in the chapel. Entombment will follow at Oconee Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Church of God of Prophecy or Oconee Country Humane Society.
