Geraldine Dyar Hamby

Seneca, S.C. - Geraldine Dyar Hamby, 96, wife of the late Robert F. Hamby, passed away on August 7th, 2024 at the Prisma Cottingham Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 12th at the Oconee Memorial Gardens in Seneca. Pastor Ryan Wilson will be presiding.

Born on June 27th, 1928, Gerry was the daughter of Crawford and Lala Fendley Dyar. She worked at Jantzen until her retirement. Gerry was a member of Seneca Baptist Church and a devoted mother to her two daughters.

Gerry is survived by her two daughters; Susan Rochester and her husband, John; Cindy Bishop and her husband, Doug; Grandchildren; Caroline Kalchthaler and her husband, Philip, Charlotte Kiker and her husband, Chris; and three great grandchildren; Kylie Kalchthaler, Adam Kiker, and Abram Kiker.

Gerry was preceded in death by her parents; Crawford and Lala Dyar, brothers; Clint Dyar, Charles Dyar, and Myron Dyar, and sisters; Ruby Dyar Blackson and Nell Dyar Sluder.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to PRISMA Cottingham House.
