Edna Mae Gibson Eller, 82, wife of the late Tillman Gene Eller of Westminster, SC went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June, 28th 2023 surrounded by her loving Family.
Edna was born on March 22, 1941, in the Richland community of Westminster, SC and was the daughter of the late Isaac Sylvester and Annie Elizabeth Hoxit Gibson.
She held many jobs over the years, but the one she enjoyed the most was housekeeping at Oconee Memorial Hospital. Edna was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She was a wonderful cook and the very best biscuit maker. She enjoyed cooking for her family and those she called family and there are many. Her home was always an open and welcoming place where love, family, and friendship were abundant. Edna also enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening, fishing, and watching Gun Smoke. Edna received her GED at the age of 62 which she and her family were very proud of.
Edna is survived by her son; Leroy Eller of the home, daughters; Sissy Reid (Mike) of Walhalla and Missy McAlister (Danny) of Westminster. Granddaughter and the light of her life, Marley McAlister, sister Lula Rogers of Westminster, SC. She is also survived by her lifelong best friend; Dovie Wood (late L.C.) and their children. Over the years Edna has impacted the lives of many and considered many as “her youngins”. She is also survived by her “youngins” Jason & Toni Grant and their children, Kenya & Brian Lane and their children, Diane Martin and children, Jerry Smith and his children and many, many more.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Kenny Eller, Brothers; Bill Gibson, Charlie Gibson, Ernest Gibson, and Johnny Gibson, sisters; Barbara Ann Gibson, Lilly Lucille Gibson and Dottie Shelgrove.
On behalf of the Eller family, we would like to thank Patty Oleson for being the very best caregiver. We would also like to thank Anna Brewer for loving and caring for “granny”. Thank you to the staff of Patriot Hospice, especially her nurse, Lindsey and CNA Mandi for the compassionate and loving care mama received.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM on Friday, June 30, 2023, at Mountain View Funerals & Cremations – Seneca Chapel. A service will be held following visitation at 2:00 PM with burial to follow immediately after the conclusion of the service at Heritage Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at home. Flowers are accepted.
