Donna Lynn Bennett, known to her friends as Donna B, age 62, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024, in Greenville, South Carolina. Born on February 14, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Albert Bennett Jr. and Ellen Virginia Smith.

A lifelong musician, Donna was a popular DJ and lived in Nashville for a year where she played guitar and had the opportunity to sing at the Grand Ole Opry. In her youth she is remembered for spending time with her sisters, Diane B. Norton and Debbi Grisanti and best friend Karen Scruggs. She wrote and played her own songs well into the later years of her life and is said to have been fond of soap operas.

Donna is survived by her sisters; Debbie Grisanti and Diane Norton, nieces; Tabatha Dearybury, Sophie Dearybury, and Christina Norris, and nephews; Nick Grisanti and Benny Dearybury.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Mountain View Funerals & Cremations – Seneca Chapel from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00 PM. Upon conclusion of the service there will be a graveside committal at Oconee Memorial Park at 2:00 PM.
