Donald Keith Sims, 53, of Salem, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, October 30th, 2023. He was the son of the late James Sims and Patricia Woodard Sims, and the loving husband of 17 years to Deanna “Dee” Sims.
Donald enjoyed woodworking, was good with people, and loved telling stories. He was a logger by trade and enjoyed working with his dad and brothers in the woods. Donald also loved to hunt and was very family-oriented.
Donald is survived by his wife, his mother, children; Katelyn Smith (Nathan) of Murfreesboro TN, Savannah Sims (Zack) of Walhalla, SC, Austin Hamby of Salem, SC, and Dallas Hamby of Westminster, SC, grandchildren; Nathaniel and Jacklyn, siblings; James Sims (Erline) of Salem, SC, Tony Sims of Salem, SC, and Jason Sims (Sarah) of Seneca, as well as his seven precious nieces and nephews, and seven beautiful great nieces and nephews who he loved very much.
Donald was predeceased by his father and grandparents; Lawrence and Sadie Sims and Leeman and Carrie Woodard.
