Deborah (Deb) Carithers, age 62, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023 at Prisma Oconee Memorial Hospital in Seneca, South Carolina.
Deb was born on December 11, 1960 in Thomaston Georgia to Gail Ussery and Jerry Lee Carithers. She graduated from Bensalem High School in 1979 with a major in Industrial Chemistry. She went on to Bucks County Community College and the National School of Health where she earned a Medical Laboratory Technician degree.
After earning her degree, Deb went on to be a Phlebotomist and Medical Lab Technician. In these roles, she was remembered for her teamwork, outstanding ability to work with all lab machinery, and her fearlessness to learn new things.
Deb was the mother to three children: Jessica, Bobby, and Chris. She also had four grandchildren. Of all of the parts of her life, Deb was most proud of her children and she loved to share stories of their accomplishments
When speaking of Deb, her life-long friends remember all of her funny expressions and how kind-hearted she was. She was always joking around and making sure everyone was having a good time.
In her 62 years, Deb experienced many hardships, but always had a way to find the positives in her struggle. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for you to consider donating to local organizations that support people who are overcoming addiction.
