Clayton James Ramey, age 80, of Salem, SC passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at his home. A native of Salem, SC he is the son of the late J.D. Ramey and Etta Mae Harper Ramey. Clayton is survived by his wife Clarissa Anne Deerwester Ramey of 52 years.
Mr. Ramey was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Salem, SC. He enjoyed watching old westerns, gardening, and deeply loved his family. He had the honor to assist many Pastors, and their families through his talent as a truck driver for the Carolina Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter in law Rodney (Celia) Ramey of Morganton, NC as well as one brother Ray Ramey of Salem, SC, and seven grandchildren.
Mr. Ramey is preceded in death by his parents as well as one son Ricky Ramey, and a daughter Rita Ramey.
Mr. Ramey’s Wishes were to be cremated, and a Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
