Cathy Jean Evans Ouzts 90, of Seneca, South Carolina met her precious heavenly father on December 29, 2022. Surrounded by her children.
Jean was a wonderful wife, mother and Nana. She doted on her family and was the happiest when they surrounded her. She was a keeper of all things. She had enough plastic butter tubs to hold every leftover in the upstate area, and she made the BEST pound cake.
She is survived by two daughters and two sons. Cathy Heaton (Jerry) of Greenville, South Carolina, Cheryl Ouzts of Blairsville, GA, William (Bill) Ouzts (Tanya) of Piedmont, SC, and Vance Ouzts of Piedmont, SC. She was the sweetest Nana to three granddaughters and six grandsons. Amanda Adams, Andrea Beeco, Katie Ouzts, Jeffrey Heaton, Steven Heaton, Randy Ouzts, John-Paul Ouzts, Jason Holcombe, and James Ouzts. Many great and great-great grands, too.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband Rufus. They were married for 71 beautiful years, and she longed to be with him again. Three Children, Anthony Ouzts, Charlotte Holcombe, and Benjamin Ouzts. Two grandchildren, Russell Heaton, and Bradley Ouzts.
The family expresses their sincere appreciation to Carol Watson for her love, kind compassion and patience she always had for Nana.
The family will hold a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Prisma Health, Hospice of the Foothills, Collingham House at 390 Keowee School Rd, Seneca, SC 29672 in her memory.
