Arthur Eugene Green

October 13, 1933 — September 10, 2024

Arthur Eugene Green, 90, resident of Walhalla, SC and native of Alcoa Tennessee, passed away on September 10th, 2024. He was the son of the late John Paul Green and Verda Effler Green, and loving husband to Edana Ruth Green.

Arthur retired from International Harvester in Moline Illinois. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Walhalla. Aurther was involved in Carpenters for Christ and enjoyed traveling with family, painting, and church.

Arthur is survived by his wife; Edna Ruth Green of Walhalla, SC, children; Edna Jean Sluder (Anthony) of Greenwood, SC, Thomas Payne Green (Kelly Jones) of Springfield MO, and Marilyn Sue Green of Mountain Rest, SC, grandchildren; Jeremy Hugh Sluder, David Christopher Sluder, and five great grandchildren, sister; Ethel Derrick of Geneseo, IL, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Arthur is predeceased by his parents; John Paul and Verda Effler Green, siblings; Thelma Davis, Mildred Myers, John Paul Green Jr, Walter Green, Homer Green, Howard Green, Fances Prichard, and Helen Bell.

A memorial service will be held at Walhalla First Baptist Chuch, located at 403 E. Main St Walhalla, SC 29691, on October 18th, 2024 begining at 2:00PM, and burial at the family graveside in Tennesse at a later date.
