Mr. Allen Ladd Ward, age 72 of Seneca, SC passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Prisma Health Cottingham Hospice House surrounded by his family. Born May 10, 1949, he was the son of the late Jesse Lewis Ward and Nettie Daisey Ward, and the husband of the late Chyrel Greene Ward.
Mr. Ward is survived by his special friend, Ms. Shirley Holliday of Seneca SC, son Allen Ward Jr of Seneca SC, daughters, Tina Slaughter of Gretna, VA, April Carver (Thomas) of Seneca. SC, Daisy Fricks (Tony) of Seneca, SC, and Alice Smith (Don) of Seneca, SC. Seven grandchildren: Roman, Blake, Amy, Kayla, Cassie, Morgan, and Jax. Four great- grandchildren; Lilly, Brooke, Salvador, and Rosie. Brothers; Laylan Ward of Seneca, SC, Joe Ward of Mountain Rest, SC, Wallace Ward of Pumpkintown, SC, and Glen Ward of Seneca, SC, as well as three sisters Mae Ledford of Six Mile, SC, Carrinda Simmons of Seneca, SC and Ann Simpson of Greenville, SC.
In addition to his wife and parents Mr. Ward is preceded in death by numerous other siblings.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Mountain View Funerals and Cremation – Seneca Chapel from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. A Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Mountain View Funerals and Cremations – Seneca. Interment will follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens, Westminster, SC.
Flower are accepted, and the family is at their respective homes.
